Red’s Place was founded on a promise made to Eric “Red” Bjerstedt. As Red was in the final days of his battle with brain cancer, our founder, Bruce Danielson, made a promise to his childhood friend to create a loving and caring residential environment that helps to serve the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) community. For Red, this was an incredibly personal cause, and the future possibility that Red’s Place could exist helped provide hope and peace of mind.
For us, Red’s Place is more than an Adaptive Living + Learning Community; it is the fulfillment of a promise. Red’s Place is proof that we keep our word, and, most importantly, it is a way for others to feel the immense impact Red had on our lives for many years to come.
Our Mission
